My name is Rebecca Smith
Rebecca Smith, is a high performing Senior Marketing & Business Development Specialist (Communications, Digital Marketing, Strategic Planning, Community Consultation, Branding & Operations) with 25 years’ experience in the state/local government, not-for-profit, tourism/hospitality, finance, small business and fast-moving consumer goods industries.
Experience spans some of Australia’s largest consumer brands (including managing Nestle Australia’s largest brand portfolio worth over $500 million) and more recently within National and State Award winning tourism properties and small to medium businesses. Expertise in Business to Consumer and Business to Business marketing, corporate and internal communications, strategic business planning, brand development, digital marketing, customer experience marketing, community consultation and public relations, market research, budgeting, business development and staff management and development.
With a strong focus on continuous improvement and a proven team leader in building strong and effective teams and business/stakeholder relationships.
As a nature lover and avid hiker I am committed to environmental preservation as a life priority. As a female who has experienced first-hand, gender inequality and family domestic violence, I am a
passionate advocate for women and children and embed this philosophy into my daily life actions.
Finally, as someone who always aims to push myself to higher levels and achieve the seemingly impossible, I am proud to have successfully completed 4 ultra marathons within the last 18 months including 163km in the Blue Mountains, 165km and 100km in New Zealand and 50kms in the Snowy Mountains. This was only possible through focused planning, consistent training, a strong self-belief, the leverage of a great support team along with excellence in execution. Honing these skills over time has helped me to continually perform at a high level in my professional career.
