National AI Directory Listing
AI Pocket Rocket has reached another exciting milestone. We are now listed on the National AI Centre’s AI Directory, a platform showcasing Australian organisations with artificial intelligence capabilities across different industries and technologies.
The AI Directory helps small and medium-sized businesses, government and other organisations discover and connect with Australian AI providers. It also supports the responsible use and continued growth of AI capability in Australia.
Making AI capability more accessible
Artificial intelligence is already changing how businesses research, communicate, plan, market and manage everyday tasks. However, knowing that AI is important and knowing how to use it are two very different things.
Many small business owners are interested in AI but remain unsure about:
Where to begin
Which tools are suitable for their business
What information is safe to share
How to create useful instructions for AI
How to turn occasional experimentation into repeatable business skills
How to measure whether their capability is actually improving
AI Pocket Rocket was created to close that gap.
Rather than overwhelming people with technical language or endless lists of tools, we focus on practical learning that can be applied to real business and everyday tasks.
From AI confusion to practical capability

AI Pocket Rocket helps non-technical business owners build AI capability through clear education, guided activities and practical opportunities to use AI.
Our approach is based on building confidence through action.
That could mean learning how to:
Create a useful first draft of a business document
Research and organise information more efficiently
improve marketing content while keeping a human voice
Develop reusable prompts for recurring work
Protect confidential and personal information
Review AI-generated material before using it
Create systems that save time without removing human judgement
We also use the AI Capability Ladder to help participants understand their current capability, identify an appropriate next step and see their progress over time.
The goal is not to become an AI expert overnight.
The goal is to build worthwhile skills that make work easier, improve decision-making and create greater confidence about using AI responsibly.
Supporting responsible AI adoption
Responsible AI use is an important part of every AI Pocket Rocket learning experience.
Participants are encouraged to think carefully about privacy, accuracy, intellectual property, human oversight and whether an AI tool is appropriate for the task.
This reflects the wider need for Australian organisations to understand both the opportunities and the risks associated with AI.
The National AI Centre also focuses on helping Australian organisations understand where AI can add value and how it can be used safely and practically.
